bought these do it yourself from walmart for 6x9s
i think it turned out ok......gonna get a neon tube in there to make it glow
what do you think:
The point of an enclosure it to enclose the speaker. having them like that is going to sound no better than having them open air. Plus they look horrible.

i realize that open air is worse but i intend to seal the gaps so you cant see everything in the back

And where exactly would those be going?
I would throw the whole works away if they were mine.
thats basically no different than having them lay on the floor , clean it up

Vs actually buying something of some quality? Those look absolutely terrible.
no its not finished....i moved the speaker to mounting behind the enclosure and the giant gap is getting sealed tom.
I'm still confused, on why you would buy something from Wal-Mart, and then actually consider putting it in your car.

Not cutting it for me either. Just save and buy qaulity speakers
get a piece of 1/4 wood, and make a template the size of the front of that box, cut out your hole for the woofer, mount the tweeter and then mount the entire piece of wood where the 6x9's would have went. Under the piece of carpeted rear deck. NEXT TIME ASK FOR HELP, and don't screw into something that you can't get your $$ back afterwards next time.
Your Welcome.
imsorry but car audio and walmart do not go together....
