Alpine 9853 head unit, i also got Alpine Type R 6x9s but i didnt get a picture of them, the sound quality of the head unit is excellent.
Also got off the GR2s at last, these ride so much better:
Tokico D-Specs with Eibach Sportlines, overall im really impressed with the ride quality and they were well worth the money.

How do you like the user friendliness of the head unit? I have been looking into these new units from alpine and cant decide between the 9855 and the 9853 the largest difference I can see so far is some of the interfacing between the ipod which I want and the 4 volt output on the 9855 compared to the 9853. Do you have any feedback since you own one?

Area51: I bought the 9853 for my car and the 9851 for my girlfriends car. Hers is a lot easier to use, i found with the 9853 its easiest to use with the wireless controller and takes alittle while even after i read the whole manual. I purchased the 9853 for the sound quality and because it had the media expander. When it comes to the ipod im not sure i dont use it with an ipod so i cant be much help there. Overall this is the best head unit i have owned when compared to Sony,JVC and Pioneer which were in the same price range.

Joe: Thanks, the wing will be painted to match and the wings west emblem is going to be filled in eventually, although ive had a few people say to keep it silver, its getting painted.

Greenfire: The overspray is from the idiots that painted my car, i havent figured out how to get it off, maybe remove the liners and spray them with stripper? Got any other ideas?
