Hey guys need a little help, I have a 97 4 door Cavalier and just one day out of the blu the dome light decided not to turn off and still wont. I dont know what it is i first thought maybe i might had crossed wired a wire when i put my new stero in but that was not it. I Then took it too my local chevrolet dealership and they said it looks like the door jam switch has a short in it and needs replaced. Anybody know if that i what is really wrong or has anybody had this problem...............?

The problem is that i cant turn off the dome light i had to take the bulb out and i now i have no light unless i want it on all the time they the battery dies
