I looked through the search and I'm still unclear about one thing. Once the original steering wheel is removed there is a doughnut looking device/ a coil, that connects to the airbag. It has two yellow wires one in the back and one in the front of the device. im wondering if I were to install the momo hub, do i have to re-install that part? I noticed when I installed the momo hub without that device there is a gap. Do I have to tighten the bolt down till the hub goes all the way down. i noticed that the spline still has some room to be pushed down on the hub. well my question is that device help with the horn? or is it just for the airbag? any one have step by step pics of the hub installation? incase anyone is wondering i have a TRD nardi steering wheel that im putting on.
That's the coil cord for all the steering wheel electronics.
And yes, you need to seat the wheel all the way down. I would think that would be common sense.

i know the steering hub is supposed to be set all the way down. but when the spline on the hub and the spline on the shaft meet, the hub still has a gap in the back of it. it seems like if i tighten the bold more it will break somewhere. I just wanna know if that coil thing goes behind there. it seems to be only for the airbag. from what i seen people seem to put it back on but im still not sure why. i mean the only thing the aftermarket steering wheel has is a horn button.
I didn't put it back on and mine seats flush against the column covers.

cool thanks. mines seats flush with the column but not the metal in the inside. ill do it the same way thanks.
crazy question, but do you happen to have the part number for your hub adapter?
i broke that piece off. Thats the firing circuit connection for the airbag module.
I'm sure there's a way to remove it, but I didn't have the information at the time. My hub also didn't slip over it either so maybe that has something to do with it...
