1. Dome light idea.......
take your stock dome light out........
use an old emblem or something to trace into the lense...............
mask it off and paint it.....
Check out the lense when the paint dries......
Looks bad ass when it's lit up......
2. blue gauge lights
take your dash bezel off and unbolt your topper pad...........
reach on top of the cluster take out the 2 screws that hold it in, flip it over to where you can see the back of the cluster.....................
use pliers to twist the 4 green sockets out, go to advanced, or autozone and get 4- 1/2" instrument sockets, and some lights. simply push the lights into the socket, and put them back in the cluster, and when night time comes you should have this......
that is the tackiest dome light ever...
My Cav

i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
Welcome to the past. Theres already how to threads on both of those mods here.
that dome lights goes good with your flaming floor mats
oh I see, I've been away for a while, guess I should've checked it all out first. =)
Nice effort.........at least you're trying.
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you painted the dome light with VHT nightshades and used some clear to make it shine, along with the bow-tie idea, it would be much better. that way during the day it would look just like what you have, but at night no light output, well not much... would be effected, plus you would still see the bow-tie, just not as much.
Riddle me this... riddle me that...
did this back in like 03'
my bad...lol I didn't even have a car in 03'

Call me unloyal, but I work toward removing all obvious references to GM on my car. Debadging and aftermarket wheels were part of my approach to this.
I should probably be indebted to Chevrolet on some level, seeing as they sold the contract to Mexicans to build my car, thus giving me an affordable mode of transport that is preferable to a bike. This isn't the sort of thing I celebrate by masking their emblem onto random objects in said car.

Exactly. I'm not about to badge the dome light for the benefit of the passed-out hooker in the back seat. She can keep thinking it's a Ferrari.
