It is very easy just remove the instrument cluster from the car and pop off the clear plastic lens. It is held on by plastic tabs you just pry up. insert the peice and snap the lens back on. Do you know how to get the top dash off and the bezel so you can get to the cluster?

i was wondering the same thing.. because the stock piece isn't removable.. do you just somehow bend it to fit inside and then flatten it up against the old one? because the old one is part of the clear plastic piece.

This is exactly where my question is at.

Yes you have to dremel it out. The reason why is cause they didn't put the front cover on for that 2nd pic cause they know it would look like poop with it on.
I just did mine last night. NO DREMELING NECESSARY on the '05. I removed the dash pad (about 10 screws), removed the front trim for the cluster that goes around to the radio and climate controls (another 3 screws) and took off the cluster (2 screws). The clear plastic cover unclips from the cluster. On my '05, the stock overlay is attached to the plastic lens and comes off with it. I laid the aluminum overlay onto the cluster and clipped the lens right over it. There are three tabs on the inside of the lens that go through the overlay and into the gauge cluster so you don't need the tape to hold it in place. It only goes on one way. You then snap the plastic lens right back onto the cluster and reinstall it in the car. I had mine done in a little more than an hour. The only thing I don't like and I may remove it in the future to trim it a little is that it's not cut 100% and while the tach is perfect along with the fuel gauge, the speedo and the water temp are slightly off. The bottom also covers the odometer ever so slightly. If it bothers me enough, I'll trim it. Otherwise it looks really good in the car and really sets off the aluminum shift knob. I have a full aluminum kit ready to go in the car as soon as the weather gets a little warmer.
Yes, you can install it without dremeling, but you will not be able to see the entire bezel. It will only stick out on the sides of the factory bezel. In my opinion, installing it under the factory bezel is pretty much pointless as you don't see very much of it at all.

That doesn't make sense.
The lens has a black outline plastic. You mean you put the new trim underneath the original piece? Do you have a of pic what you did?

I don't know if you got my PM, but I decided to get rid of my gauge bezel, so if you want it it's yours. I'll send you the whole cluster cover with the bezel already attached. All you would need to do is snap the cover on in place of your current one. PM me if you're interested
.
That's exactly what I did. The only problem with mine as you can see is that it's slightly off. I have to take it back out and make some adjustments.

Wow, the pic actually worked. Yay me...
i'll take one if your giving one away.

. Well, if anyone wants it for $25, PM me.

5 seconds to find another street...
I'm confused. Did you or did you not cut the factory cluster with a dremal to insert the bezel on top of the factory bezel???? From the picture above and with what I understand, you would have had to cut in order to insert this new bezel on top of the factory one.
Please confirm.
You can do it either way. If you put it underneath the factory bezel (like Wild Weasel has it) you won't see much of the aftermarket bezel. You can also do it like I did. I cut the factory bezel up a little bit in order to be able to set the aftermarket bezel on top of the factory one. If you do it this way you will see the entire bezel. If you have any more questions let me know.
Do you have actual pictures of the bezeling you did to the cluster?
