Hey all this problem is really pissing me off and I can't seem to figure out what is going on in there. Ever since i have bought my car my odometer the trip light goes on and off, almost like a bad ground right. Now all of the sudden my climate control lights wont come on, I tore everything off including the trim plate took out my climate control and checked over everything no burned out bulbs, I opened up my guage cluster and everthing was in good shape and what looked to be good solid connections, so
I put it all back together and my climate control lights still wont work... I cant seem to find the cause of this problem anywhere so if anyone else has ever encountered this problem please let me know, any "good" advice will be very halpful, Thank you

all good but thanks, btw there not off all the time sometimes they come back on and kind of fade out so I dont know whats going on, to me it seems like a bad ground... but where?

So you have opened up a 2000+ cluster without messing up anything. How did you check the bulb that is behind the screen without unsodering the board? Cause you just need to put a led on the board instead of the bulb. Also did you try to replace the bulbs in the HVAC to test if they are bad?
no ive had the cluster out and looked at it but the thing is, my lights work.... sometimes they arent just flat out dead or burnt out you know what I mean they just dont seem like they have a good connection

Well all the lights on teh 2000+ clusters are solderd into the board. The connections are good I'm guessing, but the bulb itself goes bad. The way most people fix this is slaping the dash when the car is on with everything on to have the filiment re-atacheched them inside the bulb. It doesn't alway work for that long, but it does fix some people's clusters. I hope that helps.
ya I already tried that that, it worked but there is still one light out that won't come on. also none of my hvac lights work.. Thanks btw

there is a connector under the dash pad that connects the gauges to the hvac and cig lighter etc.. check to see if ur cig lighter works, if not look at that fuse, if thats fine, pull the dash pad off and push and make sure the connectors are making a good connection.
