this isnt me asking how to or anything I'm just looking for input
I'm fiberglassing my door panels but painting the dash under portion, and then glassing the top dash part in my 95 cav( if you can kinda get waht I'm saying) anyways if I sand and primer and get the bottom dash part smooth will it look alright with glassed doors and top dash part?????
anyone done that and it worked well/not so well please tell me
BlueSplash: I'm planning on doing that same deal this summer. But do you find your arms stick to the door panels without material in the way?
Yea a little but its no big deal. Good luck with it. Make sure to scuff up the plastic with 60 grit before fiberglass and drill holes.

Basically sand all the texture off the doors or close to it with 220 grit. Use a 2k primer from an hvlp gun and primer it 4-5 times or until smooth after you wet sand with 400 grit. Degrease before and after sanding, primering and so forth. Lay 2-3 coats of base or till coverage occurs. 2-3 coats of clear then wait till ti dries and wet sand with 2000 grit then buff with 3m machine glaze that is a whiteish color.
Yeah its basicly identical except the fac that fiberglass weighs a ton and a half. I ended up doinf my while interrior with fiberglass and i gurentee it gaind like 200lbs. I would do whatblue splash said and just paint it...
