anyone know if a middle consle out of a 2000+ z24 will line up in a 98? gettin really sick of the useless cup holder in mine!

i just put a 00+ auto one in my 99 auto. it's just barely crooked. the front sits to the drivers side just a lil bit more. oh and the bolt underneath the coin tray/power windows switch doesn't line up one bit!

i tried to put a 99 in my 02 and the 99's are thincker and alot taller you would have to cut it a little i didnt feel liek doing all that work so i got rid of it to someone else. i dont even think the screw in the front lines up right but you can just redrill there. thats no biggie
^ yea to get the 00-02 center console i put in my 99 i put in the two bolts in the rear of it and had to push the front to the left about 1/2 inch to 1 inch over to line it up. and like i said earlier the middle bolt isn't even close so i didn't bother with it. i plan on eventually making a custom bracket underneath the front of it to straighten my console up.

well that sucks that it just wont line up...shows how much the salvage yards here know...they told me it will line right up...im just sick of my usless cupholder and i like the look of the newer one better...ahh well it will be a fun little battle..thanks

With enough filing, cutting, drilling and swearing anything will fit.
you have to use the brackets from the 00-05 console , you cant use the 1's for the 95-99 console
aside from not getting the front bracket for mine it fit well, only moves slightly with the e-brake fully engaged.
