yeah man i put regular led and its dim as hell, i was told to look for the three light leds and it should brighten it up. look at obzintum i think

Some of the multi LED/wide angle ones should do much better as dispersing the light more evenly so you dont have those hot and cold spots.

Yeah man...they should be equally red all the way through; looks like only the sides of each gauge are getting full lighting. Compare to factory Pontiac:
i was wanting to install blue leds behind my knobs. anyone know what size they are for a 99 cavy it would help allot i hate removing my dash more times than i have to its a pain in the a$$ but im shure u yall know what im talkin about lol

What I wanna know, is did you pull them from the HVAC housings (the bulbs) of did u just wire in some different sockets and such.
oh 194 is the gauges. I don't know what the HVAC are, but you replace them with standard 3 or 5mm LEDs
I know the HVAC's are 74's, but when I tried before to pull them outta the housings, they always @!#$ break! I was asking are you wiring them into the stock housings, or using some other connector to get them into the hvac unit themselfs.
ok i know the post is old but for u and anyone else that reads this and needs to kow, u pull out the HVAC and u put an elastic or or something of the sort around the bulb contact and pinch it with pliers and very glently pull, pull more the squeeze lol
