Like everything except the glovebox and airbag cover. They just look random and out of place. All of this plaid has me thinking.......
on a scale of 1-10, how hard is this to do?
I want to do my headliner in Burberry SO BAD, but im terrified, since i dont have a pick and pull around me to get a spare.
You should think about selling these, or making a thread on how to do it.
Id pay cash money to get this @!#$ done.
Its terribly easy. Getting the factory carpet pieces out isnt easy tough from what Im told.
The big thing is make sure you get GOOD adhesive. The 3M stuff is very nice. Ive used it one several sub boxes. Dont want it to start with the peeling and what not.
Just spray the piece down with adhesive and pull it tight over the piece and wrap it around the back and hot glue or staple it into place.

Huh.
Knowing me, i'd wrap something simple, like my center, and then my check engine light would come on.
At any rate.
I've searched my ass off;
but i cant find a DAMN thread about how to remove the door fabric from 3rd gen sunfires. You know how it is; goes right to the glass; etc.
Sunfire pieces are easier than Cav ones. I almost want to say they are plastic welded onto a stud but I cant exactly remember. Either way you have to pretty much break the piece out if the door panel and glue it back in.
teddy- nice job bud, reminds me of gary franks car. loving the plaid.!
jamie fix- this might help ya out a bit, between all the pics teddy just posted, and my small how to you should be able to figure this deal out, like brian said it's really not that difficult at all. good luck bud.

I've actually been thing about doing this but wrapping it in black leather for quite some time just too lazy to actually do it.
Looks well done the job it self, just not a big fan of the blue plaid
I wanna do something like this to my car so bad
13.1 @ 115
I just need to figure out a patteren I wanna do :/
13.1 @ 115
Looks good.
How hard is it to make a shift boot?? I NEED that so bad, but I cant sew lol.
Saab Kit, GM Reflash, 10 psi
Call up your mom or grandma! I reupholstered the seats in my Moms dodge by hand because the machine wouldn't feed the material through properly. lets just say it took lots of time to change the side and seat bolsters.
the Shift boot on the other hand is quite simple, if you take of the shift boot you will notice that the vinyl is glued to the inside of it, tear back the vinyl and expose the plastic ring. next tear the stiches out of the old boot halves that are sewen together. lay those pieces out on your fabric and use them as your template. from here you can either glue them to the vinyl pieces or only use the new fabric. sew from the inside then when your done flip it inside out. I left the vinyl on the inside to give it some support and it still has the buttons on the front, you just cant see them now because the fabric covers it all.
Good luck!
Some more pics, dont mind the dirty car.. next summer i will be getting a new steering wheel, seats, and carpet.
The cig lighter and vents still have to go in, clear coat is still kind of soft so i will wait till tomorrow for those.
good god, I just found my new Headliner..
love it teddy. that looks awesome
Headliner is official lol... How long did it take you to sand the center console and the bezel?
your interior wont be dope until you replace the carpet.
wow that interior is stellar i def need to redo mine asap
now to find some fabric
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
