some1 stole my radio but they just unplugged it from the wiring harness. but i tried hooking up two radios to it now and none of them will come on. i had it on at 1 point but the radio stayed on even when the ignition was off and the door was open. anything that can help this situation
may have something to do with theftlock on the radio.
Couple things:
This should be in audio and electronics. Not here to be a dickhole, just saying.
There could be a few things going on. What year is your car? In 2000, they changed the radios in all GM cars (pretty sure of this, definitely sure of the J bodies), so if you are trying to put a 2000+ radio into a '99 and lower, or visa versa, that could be giving you the problem.
Also, it might be an issue with the theftlock, in which case you need a dealer code to fix this. I'm sure there are guys here who know a lot more about this. My best advice would be unless you are trying to keep the car stock for the resale value, get an adapter kit and get an aftermarket deck. Most of the ones available are better than the stock GM crap, which in my experiences, have usually @!#$ the bed on me for whatever reason.
