Air bag damage to dash in junk car

I found a sunfire interior I want to snag from the junkyard, but the passenger side air bag popped. Is it possible to just bend the panel back or will the panel fo a 95-2002 sunfire fit an 03-05?

I was thinking of this awhile back, couldnt you get another dash at the j/y(pass airbag intact) and unbolt(or unclip) the passenger airbag cover, then attach that to the dash you want. just an idea

That's what I was thinking, If I remember correctly it it just a bunch of 7mm screws holding the cover on. I will let you know if it works as long as no one snags the dash before I get back.

The airbag cover is the same from 95-05. I got a 03+ from a friend that had a blown airbag. I was able to use the airbag cover from my 96 with no problems.

I did the same thing with the dash setup I built this spring. Air bag popped and was pretty much worthless. Replaced it with the cover from my 2000's dash, but I can't remember which metal "skeleton" I put back in(?) I wouldn't recommend trying to fix it...would take a whole butt-load of work and it still probably won't look right.

I got lucky and there was another 03 when I finally got to the yard, after I pieced together a 98 cover and 03 dash.
