opinions on steering hub

ok guys i been reading on the threads posted about installing a steering hub on a pre 03 cavy and got the 5196 hub which is the same as a 3196 hub but it is the billet style and it works because i tried it out yesterday night. My question is should i leave it polished or paint it black because everything in my interior is dark grey.I just want to get some opinions, i was leaning more towards black because nothing is polished except my b&m shift knob. Here is a link to the one i purchased. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Grant-5196-1-Steering-Wheel-Installation-Kit-Summit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4ceca1daceQQitemZ330387544782QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessori es

id keep it polished. unless you get it painted really good. i can imagine the hub looking even worse once the paint start to chip.

ya i was thinking about the chipping situation as well and that would look like crap. i will probably keep it polished unless i know i can get it painted and not have to worry about it chipping, but dont know how good the paint would stick to it. i would assume it would really have to be scuffed to get the paint to actually stick with some realy good prep work.

or send it to be powdercoated, and not worry about chipping.

josh maybe in the future but i actually made it black by doing some different ideas with the instal kit it so happens that the cover that the grant steering wheel came with is the same size as the hub i installed so i just stretched it out over the hub and it looks alot better and black so has that stockish look. ill try to post some pics when i get batteries for the camera.thanks for the input guys
