so im going to keep the side mirror m3 led lights on my car, and ive got them all hooked up now. i was wondering, there is a little piece of wire showing going from the door to the hood. where can i tuck this wire under so i wont be able to see it at all? it needs to go through a hole in the door into the engine, but i cant find it. thank you!

if your wire goes thru your door to the engine bay i'd move it immedietly before you possibly burn your car up.

I love wiring jobs like that. Why run the wires where they're supposed to go, when you can just go in a straight line?

I'm guessing that you somehow hooked these up to your corner lights, and ran the wires in the shortest distance possible. If that's the case, you need to start over. Run the wires back through the firewall grommet so that they are coming out under your dash, then run them out to the doors with the harness that goes through the door grommet/boot.

I still stand by my original idea of taking the useless mirrors off and stomping them.

Problem solved.

i remember a guy back in high school that when he would get out to his car he'd roll down the rear window and run his power wire out the window and into the trunk from the outside of the car.

LMAO, just take the time to run them thru the grommets in teh firewall of the rubber conduits in the door jamb, safer and will look a ton better.

I don't have any pics, but if you stick your head under the dash (and I mean under it) you should see a silicone rubber grommet that's about 3-4" in diameter...it's really big and hard to miss...you'll see the primary wiring harness running through the center of it. Once you know where it is look in the engine bay for it...its a bit of a pain sometimes to get to it but is the perfect spot for running wires through the firewall.

Once you see it, you'll know what we're talking about.

oh yeah, i know what the firewall is, i ran my amplifier wires through there when i had a system. but how do i run the wire from the firewall into the door without it being shown, i forget.

i wouldn't even run it through the firewall.. i would just splice into the wires coming from the turn signal switch in the column before it goes through the firewall..

open the door up, look where the door and body of the car meet up. there will be a rubber boot that all the wires for the door run thru.
