Bomz Racing Seats vs Car Seat Covers

I am really like the Bomz Racing seats on eBay for 350 a pair of blue. But then I am stuck with the back seat a different color. I found a 12 piece set of seat covers that are black and blue but I am afraid they will be too cheapy looking. What can i do? What is the best option for the littlest cost. Dont even think about suggesting the way overpriced Sparco racing seats. I have seen what those puppies are going for and I can't see how people would pay that much.

Well you could always get some Recaros, or Corbeaus, or Brides lol.

Honestly I'd grab the seats and just rip out your back seat if it annoys you that they're different colors...just turn the seat area into an amp rack or cover it with some carpet...not too hard. Plus every seat cover I've seen in a J doesn't look good.

If you wanna keep your back seat just re-upholster it. It's not THAT difficult..

You are buying Bomz seat and worried about the rear seat looking cheap, lol. Sparcos are expensive because they actually put the time and money into designing a comfy, sturdy, safe seat. Same thing with Recaros, Corbeaus, and Brides. There is a reason you dont see ebay special seat in race cars.

Before you say that your car is not a race car remember than an accident is and accident. Whether it is at 20mph, 45mph, or 150mph. I personally want to know that my seat is going to stay in place and hold me in one spot.

Honestly I'd buy Tenzo before I buy Bomz seats. But in the end I'd still buy some Sparcos, Recaros or Corbeaus. They'll be MUCH better made and are race approved. Sparco has their R100's that are relatively new on the market and are only $289 MSRP each, so I'm sure you can find them for cheaper if you look around a little. Clicky

If you do decide to go something nicer...watch ebay...I've seen specials on pairs of Recaros and Sparcos on a fairly regular basis, sometimes with sliders and brackets too.

They're fake Bride's...the price is the giveaway, and in the listing it says "BRIDE BRIX 2 STYLE". I wouldn't trust em honestly. If I could see em in person and had a test to abuse the hell out of/destroy first, then I might think about it.

If I got a pair of racing seats, can I wear the harness to replace the seatbelt or how does that work? Is it easy to use a harness compared to the regular belt? Or what do people use when driving? THanks

I would use a regular belt while driving and the harness while racing(legally obviously). If you do not have the harness mounted properly and wear them loose they could do more harm than good.

If you do get a harness, get the bar, and dont mount the belts to the floorboards. With that downward angle, the harness puts downward pressure on your shoulders and probably would snap your neck off in an accident.

I was just looking around at racing seats. If you dont spend at least $200/piece, you probably wont guarantee quality.

Actually the downward pressure will compress your spine, not snap your head off. You dont need a bar, but it helps alot with mounting them.
