Want to paint the interior in my car...Just wanted some ideas on what kind of ways to do it?? I don't want to paint the whole dash all one i want it a two tone any ideas????? That goes for doors and all......
When you say "ideas on what kind of ways to do it"...are you asking how to go about the process, or what colors you should do??
If you want to know the right way to paint it, there is a good sticky in this forum called Repaint your Interior. Read it.
If you are asking what colors and combos....it's your car, paint it the way that makes you happy. If you don't like looking at it, then it really doesn't matter if anyone else does like it.
I know im not the best at wording stuff... but i guess im asking what parts on the dash should i do and the doors.....???
Just the bezel, anything makes it look tacky.

+1 for just doing the bezel. Possibly the top of the console to match.
Depends on the rest of your interior though.

i've done quite a few pieces in mine, pillars, armrest, etc.
it's all your choice, i like the look of my interior. most people on this site or not on this site would probly puke when they look at it. but that's the nice part of it being your car, do what you like and what you want cuz in the end you're the only one that has to drive it.
^ Agreed.
What color combo's are you looking for?
What parts have you in mind so far?...other than dash and doors?
I can suggest doing everything...but that's just me
Color matching the bezel to your car looks nice.
My opinions on painting interiors:
- Picking up a random color of spray paint doesn't always look good. If you're going to do it color match to the exterior or choose a
tasteful color that isn't going to look way out of place.
- Automotive paints sprayed from a gun will look and hold up better than rattle can jobs, but if you are on a budget rattle can will work fine as long as the prep work is done correctly.
- Like Sndsgood said it looks cheap when you go "okay lets just see what parts i can pull off easily and just paint those". I too would recommend only painting the radio bezel and the top of the center console. A lot of people tend to go overboard spraying things that are easy to remove, and that is when it starts to look tacky.
- If you are going to match to the exterior color or go with a bright color sand the pieces down to remove all of the texture. If you put the time into it you can have the pieces just as slick/smooth as your exterior.
Make sure you are confident in your ideas before doing them. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I regret painting certain things.
i pulled off my dash and wrapped it with vinyl from a craft store that u would use for boat seats, and it looks really good.
Any pics of that? ^^^^ Just sounds nasty looking
i can send pics maybe even make a sticky but my car is in the paint shop until tues. It actually looks exactly like the stock vynil part of the dashboard but a different color

I've seen people do the fuzzy looking plush dash before not on a cavy though and I thought it looked nice yet flashy... but I like the idea of the vinyl, suede, or even some people do crazy things like getting some carbon fiber wrap (like this stuff:

ya car is still in the shop ill get pics as soon as i can. i did my all black interior with a white wrapped dash it looks nice! My friend did his z24 with red and that looked pretty good too
if n e one wants pics of my dash wrap just pm me ur cell # and ill pic text u cuz i dont have a camera
k, really good idea for anyone wanting to do this, particularily if its ur DD... go buy an EXTRA piece of what u wanna paint, that way u can take ur time and do it over a few days and make sure its perfect, and plus if it looks like @!#$ then just put the stock back in and try again
thats what i did with my entire interior i have all my stock parts in my basement
