power windows?

whats there to check to see why the drivers side power window wont go up or down? any fuses or relays? im going to swap the switch and see if it works. what else to check please any info would be nice. its a convertable and i have a feeling the motor got wet maybe.

If the passenger side window works, the fuse/relay isn't the issue. If you eliminate the switch and that doesn't solve it, you're probably looking at changing the motor. This is one of the jobs that caused profanity to be widely adopted during auto repair. You can get replacement motors easy and cheap enough via eBay and other online vendors, but they're riveted to the regulators which are then riveted to the doors. (You can get aftermarket regulators with motors attached for the coupes and sedans, but not the convertible.) There are threads here that deal with replacing the motors that can be generally applied to the convertibles, so try a search either on this or the Third Gen forum. Also, there's a sticky in the Third Gen forum that contains a convertible shop manual supplement that applies to all '95-'00 'verts and has window motor replacement information.
