IF you got a Pick-N-Pull in your area I would suggest going there you can pick up a cluster for around 20 bucks and Wed. is half price everything. I bought a hood fender and door for 135.00 in Feb.

i was thinking of doing that but i a buddy of mine is giving me his old tach and i was wondering if there was an easy way of installing it without buying an adapter, i have also noticed a fuse slot under my hood that is label tach

The easiest and cheapest way is to replace it with another cluster. If you are dead set on using the "cheap" tach, then you are going to have to buy a tach adapter which usually runs around $90.

You could find a used Autometer 9117 Adapter on eBay, they can be had for about $40. The fuse slot is useless since you don't have a Z24
