Glowshift J-Body pillar pod

I ordered this Glowshift Three Pillar pod this thing is utter junk! its useless!! you cant use it. The website misleads the customer to think its a complete new pillar, which it is not! Secondly the pillar is utter garbage. There is no way it would fit over the stock trim and even if it did, there is no way it would fit back inside. The gauge pillar is made out of very hard plastic not the softer material the stock trim is which bends to fit properly into the car.

The pillar top cut finish looks like someone cutted it by hand.

I shall never buy from THIS company again and warn others, this item not even worth my trouble shipping back!

I've seen very few cavalier gauge pods that WEREN'T of the screw-on, barely-fit variety.

Cut your losses and glass it on to the pillar you have now.

They arent bad at all especially for the price Ive had glowshift stuff in my car for years and can honestly say they are no different from 90% of the pods and "entry level" gauges on the market.

Also no where in the ad does it mention being a full pillar replacement. And correct me if Im wrong but dont the verts have different a-pillars from the coupes?

Yes... the top area of the convertible is different from the coupe... so that may be where most of the frustration comes from.

Glow Shift is not a bad company by any means, and they don't make bad products. That particular product you mention performs just fine.

When compared to Lotek's pillar pod, it is nearly identical. Without a brand name on either one you'd hardly be able to tell them apart.

Don't you basically just silicone the gauge pod to the factory pillar?

I bought the same thing from glowshift and had no problems whatsoever installing them. I love the gauges and the pillar fit perfect like stated above 4 screws with black caps thats all you need. Are you trying to put the pillar pod on without taking your old one off first?

ive install atleast 8 from them in various cars includeing the js with no problem. in most of the cars i did one in its just that pillar and looks perfect like a oem fit. if ur trying to do the coupe or sedan pillars on a drop top then thats the main issue they are wider and differant. glowshift is great with the full pods.

Refer to Post #1. Not a full replacement, it is a piece of plastic with 3 gauge pods molded in that is held on to OE with screws/tabs.

I tried to install my glowshift triple pillar pod today. The gauges fit in it, but the brackets to secure them didnt. Im more than likely going to toss it in the trash.

Well you can go to auto-zone or lowes they will have small screws with black end caps bought separately. or you can just call glow-shift and ask for them and they might send them to you.

I didn't have to use the brackets for mine after I put them in they were in there pretty good and then on top of that my stock Pillar helped keep them in place.

I've never had to use the securing brackets as the gauges always fit snug enough to never worry.

Granted this was a Lotek pod.
