I recently nailed a 2 ft. long 4x4 at about 70 mph, so needless to say, I now have a spare rim. The worst part is the inner lip is the only part that got hit/bent so I have a perfect-looking Konig Unknown from the front. I was just going to hang it in the shop but I'd like to see some other ideas.
make it as the center of a table with a piece of glass over it
Roll it down a steep hill and watch it GOOOOOOO!!!.
melt it down and sell it for scrap
attach it to your neckless and let your chain hang low
A fabrication shop should be able to bend it back or else do something with it...

After using the Search button :gasp: I was under the assumption that even if it bends back without cracking, there will always be a weak spot from the seam. I'm sure it would be okay for smaller bends but mine extended halfway into the rim and left a pretty mean crease.
I've already got a new one(the tire was okay saving me a little over $80
) so I'm probably going to go ahead and hang it in the shop to remind me of my first blowout. Of course, two years of steelies was uneventful but it only took six months for one of my 17's to get messed up.
any cracks, take a pic and post it.
if it aint too bad a machine shop might be able to bend it back, but it might be weak.

My dad told me about a place in town that will bend it back. I'll probably have it done and see how it turns out. Worst that could happen is I have a full size spare.
wheelmedic.com since all these morons dont know anything. i think they are 180 a wheel. which may not be worth it. but if you think it is that is the place to send them.
No one has any experience so i will answer question... bent my rim 2 weesk ago in BIG pothole in snow...
