I am going to be buying tires for 03 cav this weekend. I will only use them in the summer time. I have zero plans to mod or make my car faster then stock. I am on budget. They will be on stock 14" rims. My area gets rain from time to time (I dont live in a desert).


What do i wanna buy? I want the best band for my buck budget wise!!!

The stock tires from an '03 do me just fine for this type of weather. Im using them in snow and theyve been through some rain. I have no reason to belive you need something special for this.

I had a set of BF Goodrich Traction t/a's on my sunfire, from Discount Tire, I dont remember how much they were, but a great all around tire. They gave me good snow traction as well.

ive had michellin hydro-edge tires on my cav, they run awesome. they are around 100 bucks each depending on where you get them, but they have a 90K mile warranty, and are really really awesome all around. you can get them cheaper online i suppose, but they are well worth it. i had a gentleman bring back his toyota camry to replace his hydroedges with new ones, he had about 3/32 of tread left, and 115K miles on the tires.... so bang for buck. it pretty darn good.

Matt Linke - I am replaceing my tires becasue my old ones are now balding. I am not useing them in the winter.

kumho ecsta ast. i've had good luck with mine. they get great dry grip and serve as awesome rain tires, they tread water great, but stay outta the snow with em is all. if you dont get snow these are pretty good tires for the money you'll pay.
