I would like to get the Falken Koblenz rims in gloss black and a polished lip for a 2002 cavalier. The 18" rims do not come in the correct bolt pattern, but the 19" wheels do. I have had one shop tell me they would fit and another shop tell me that they wouldn't fit. The car will also be lowered using either the Eibach Sportline springs and AGX or the RKSport coilovers. The car is getting the RKSport type J kit put on right now and I would like to have wheels to accent it when it is finished... nothing like putting all the money into a body kit and using the stock rims.
Will a 19x8.5 and a low profile tire fit on a 2002 cavalier without modifications?
They should fit, you just have to run 35 series tires. It will be close though, especially with sportlines. Make sure you check the offset too. If it's too close just roll your fenders, not a real hard mod to do if you have too.
Well, I contacted three more dealers on the Falken Koblenz today. The first said they could no longer get the black wheels, the second said that the wheels with tires would be $1250, The third dealer I actually visited and had them call their Falken rep... They don't even make the 19x8.5 wheels... they are 19x10.5. I was misled from the beginning. I am back at the drawing board. At that dealer I visited, we looked at suspension and there are some Tokico coilovers for a very nice price... I am seriously considering these. They have a 1.4" drop all around. there is also a load of wheels they are checking for me and setting up a bundled price.
I appreciate everyone helping me out, or trying to. Will post pics as soon as I get the car back... may be a while.
Last I knew the Falken Koblenz were desigend ESP. for Mustangs! My mom has a 04 GT and she has a few 5.0 mags layin around, in the ads for those wheels it says something about them being designed for Stangs.
Sorry to thread jack, but my question is almost exactly the same.
I want to run a 19 x 8.5 with a 235/35/19 tire. The car is not dropped or anything just stock suspension. It is a 2002 ls sport coupe
TIA
frogot to mention they have a 35 mm offset. ant idea how far these will stick out if any?
it will stick out a good bit. someone else had the same setup a 8.5" wide wheel w/ a 35mm offset and it stuck out pretty bad. didnt look good imo
