Sadly, my Shelby wheels have gone back on the original car - we 've decided to get it back on the road. So I'm back to the original wheels and I'm trying to decide what to do with them. I can't afford to get another set of rims right now so I was thinking about cleaning them up and jsut having them painted or powdercoated. Any thoughts, opinions, flames, rants, raves? It's the car in my sig. Same color, ride height, etc. I was thinking a nice dark grey or maybe have them redone in silver.
sorry this isnt really on topic, but i had a daytona iroc with thos same rims and i always wondered how theyd look on my cavy... never knew anyone put em on a cavy before. got any pics besides the sig?

@!#$ y'all...
I've got some regular pictures but no digitals. I'm a bit behind the times, lol... It looks okay with the right stance and everything. People gave me a lot of crap for putting anything with the Shelby name on a Cavalier, but I liked them.
just throw the regular wheels on and leave them. why spend money on painting or powder coating them when you plan on buying new rims anyway
I've always respected your opinion, MIke, and in most cases I agree with you, but it's not an issue of whether I'll buy another set of rims. I won't even think about different wheels until hte rest of the car is finished anyway(yep, I decided to finish the car). I wouldn't have given a thought to taking off the Shelbys except we needed to get the Daytona back on the road whether the body damage was fixed or not. So now I have the stock wheels back on and they look like sh.. They're stained, oxidized, dull... I jsut want to refinish them.
paint them black then but do it yourself. again i dont see the point on spending a lot of money on getting it done when ur going to replace them later. clean them, scruff them up and paint
i would say to powder coat them. i want to take mine and powdercoat the centers andthe spokes black and leave the outer rim silver.
