question about offsets
Sunday, October 01, 2006 5:54 PM
Ok i want to know were i can find a 5X100 18" rim with about 0 offset if not a small negative offset.

If there is no such thing for a FWD car ... would any one trust wheel spacers welded onto the back of the rim with as long of studs needed to reach through the spacer and the rim to be able to hold onto the lub nut?

You might want to start looking for older RWD cars that have 5x100

Either that or: http://www.wheeladapter.com

^^

That was the first thing that came to mind when you asked for such an extreme offset

or ya you want a different offset rim to compansate for a 4" wider car (2" added on to both sides if you didn't know) stock offset yet alone 35mm offset will not look right. you need a rim with almost 0 offset or maybe a little bit in the negative to push that rim out fare enough look right.

kardain you know if welding on spacers onto the rim and getting long studs would work? i might have to go that route unless i can find something.

Look at AME or WORK, they will both custom make you wheels in our bolt pattern whatever offset and size you want.

AME and WORK = the best brands out there. Super light and very very strong.

yea i dont know @!#$ but your the one asking about 0 offsets

good luck trying to find a close to 0 offset in that bolt pattern that wont cost you an arm and a leg.

your better off finding a very small offset, like 20 mm and trying to space it out about an inch with those bolt on style adapter spacers that extend the stud out more.

either way its not going to be fun, so take your time and dont rush it cause when things are rushed they fall apart and look like crap.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
