Fuzion tires???
Friday, November 11, 2005 11:17 AM
Ok so i'm not a rich man but i need a set of tires that
will be better than the damn rsa's still want them
street and weather worthy but want to hook a little better.
Oh and directional tread looks sweet.

So i was told that the fuzion tires from firestone were
a good buy for me but i'm not sure. They were 350 for
the set. What do you guys think are these tires any
good or just junk??

If so what do you suggest.

I have a set of 18" Fusion ZRis. They are a much better then the Kumho ecstas I had. They tread wear is awsome on them, I have used them for two seasons and they still have a tonne of tread left on them. The Ecstas I had only lasted a season.

As far as tranction they are good. The wet traction is great on them. When I have to replace my tires again I am getting another set of the ZRis.

Yea, I'm running on Fuzion ZRi's and they are great tires.

i got them also, 205/55 16. cheaper than the stock rs-a's, they look better, and traction in both wet and dry is TONS better. ive had mine for several months now, and still got alot of tread left after alot of aggressive driving and some small burnouts. id recommend them.

My thoughts exactly. I don't run mine in the winter so I don't know how they are in the snow, but in the spring, summer, and fall, they were so much better than my RSAs as well as my Ecstas.

Thats good to hear.
I'm using them on stock 16's

The other tire i'm looking at is a goodyear hydroedge.
but i'm not sure of how they do performance wise.
I know they are supposed to be great in snow and rain
but i'm not sure how they hook up. they are also more
expensive.

I'm running on 225/40-18 Fuzion ZRi's as well.. great tires. Especially good on wet roads, but good on dry too. I think they are pretty cheap for how good they are go ahead and get them

Thanks

Thanks for the opinions.
I was leaning towards them anyway so
i'll probably go that route.

The Fuzion's are alright. They have a soft sidewall. I like Falken Zeix 512's better.

Falkens for about 275 shipped.

Yeah i have the 17's and i am running a 235/40/17. I could have went with a 225/45/17 but they werent in stock and this only put my speedo off by 1% so i think i will survive. But yesterday i switched over to my steelies and all weather tires and holy hell, big adjustment, they would not grip at all compared to my fuzions. i have to learn to drive with crappy tires again. and as for the sidewall, i would say they are stiff. i have used mine for a season of autocross since i sold my auto cross rims and tires and they held up like a dream. When you get tires, get the Zri, not the Hri, Hri's tread looks ugly. Anywho i love them and they are standing up the the hell i put them through so they get my vote.

Beautiful
Thanks for all the feedback guys.

One other question then. Should i try and get it
wider than my 205's on stock 16 rims.
Is it safe and that much more helpful to do?

I was thinking maybe 215 but i'm not sure they will fit

215 will fit. 225 would be pushing it.

I have 225/50 on my stock Sunfire GT 16" rims, and they fit just fine, 0 rubbing.

225/50/16 will fit the same as the 205/55/16.

How much does that throw off your speedo

Re: Fuzion tires???
Friday, November 25, 2005 3:25 PM
and will it make that much of a difference

Re: Fuzion tires???

225/50/16 doesn't throw your speedo off at all. It is almost the exact same circumference as the factory 205/55.

Like i said im running a 235/40 with no problem at all on a 17" rim.
