Hey i was just wondering how many people have replaced a clutch slave cylinder inside the transmission. How tough is replacing it?? and does this sound like a slave cylinder problem when my has sat for a day and has fully cooled off i can shift smoothly but the more i shift and warmer it gets it will grind gears when shifting but when its sat for like lets say a day and fully cooled off i can shift into any gear no problem does that sound like the slave cylinder letting air into the clutch system?
Try bleeding the clutch first. Flush it all out with new fluid. Check your transmission fluid level too.
And if it ends up being the slave cylinder, yo have to pull the transmission out to replace, so if it were me I would replace the entire clutch setup while it is apart.

i bled it twice already and each time air came out :/ how do i flush out the old fluid?
Bleed it with another person helping as if you were doing brakes. Or pressure bleeding it would be the best way. Check your fluid reservior line and hydraulic line from the master to slave cylinder. Sometimes the O-rings can deteriorate and allow air to enter as well.

i did my buddy sam opened and closed the bleeder valve air came out i pumped it ten times before he opened the valve and when he shut it the pedal wouldnt return up. we bleed it once more no air came out just fluid and the pedal still wouldnt return up.
The pedal won't return on a clutch system because it's not designed to. you have to pull it back up manually.

oh ok got yah. so are slave cylinders on z24's known for going bad?
It's fairly common on our cars. I'd say more so with the Isuzu transmission Vs. the Getrag. Engine doesn't seem to make a difference either.

so does the 99 z24 have a isuzu transmission?
Yes. All 95-99 J-Body cars had the Isuzu transmission. 2000+ had the Getrag.

Sounds more to me like the transmission is low on fluid or needs the fluid changed.
Check the transmission dipstick.
