Ok so I have a 97 cavalier. I thought the slave cylinder was bad but its not. It just needed fluid and bled. But my transmission wont go into gear. Is my clutch out? or would low gear oil cause this? please give me info thanks
If it had a bad clutch, likely it would go into gear without stepping on the pedal.
Try putting it into gear with the engine off. Does it go in then? If so, bad slave cylinder.

My brothers ranger did the same thing to me seemed that one of the "dogs" fell out of 3rd gear and I couldnt put the truck in gear. took the transmission apart and got it fixed.
