Ok gonna do the tranny filter, was gonna add dexron 6, I know it supercedes dexron 3. But was wondering if anyone actually had a problem after doing this.

ok then, either no ones done this, or no ones had problems, or nobody cares about this thread. I'm doing it, I'll report back in a few weeks on how it goes.

Ok, did it last night, first thing I noticed was the shifting was alot smoother, although that's probably just because I did the filter and whatnot. Same results in my pickup after doing the same thing (my Sierra requires dexron 6 though)

Will report back in 6 months.

FYI, transmission filters on these cars are VERY easy to do. Hardest part is having patience when topping the fluid up and being careful not to get burned by exhaust parts while messing with the check plug.

This is a 4T40e transmission.
