I have read a bunch of topics on here and none of them really fit my case. When the car is off, everything shifts fine from gear to gear, but when I turn the car on I can't shift it into any of the gears without forcing it quiet hard into first, this is after pumping the clutch for a little while, but when the engine is off all shifts well. Once i get it into first and moving i can shift to second without to much of a problem. I think that my pressure plate is not releasing all the way from the engine, because when i hold the clutch pedal down, and shift it into first or reverse the car will start to move with the pedal still down, i have good pressure, but it doesn't seem to matter. I have bled it several times, and i can't find a leak, any idea would help, i have a 99 2.4 5spd.

so my neighbor helped me solve my problem, so for all of you that may have or had this problem it ended up being the clutch master cylinder. if you are having a problem like this then get under the dash, follow your pedal up until you see the plunger that comes out of the firewall from the master cylinder and see if it is wet, if it is then it's your master cylinder slowly leaking. autozone has a luk master cylinder for 79.99 with a lifetime warranty.
