i have an 08 balt lt with the 2.2L eco and the 5spd man (F23 i believe) and i am finding that its max tq rating is 175 ish and i would like to upgrade my car past that, what can be done to prevent my trans from completly crapping out? or would i just have to get a new one and if so what would be compatable
i believe you can go higher than that i would think
but you prolly would want a stage 2 + clutch
but i dont know alot about manuals so wait for someone else to chime in
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
i was looking into the stage 3 or the 3+ but i have been told that doing that can increace the speed that i break something in the trans since it will allow more of the engines power to hit the trans, which ideally is good, but not at the expense of my tranny...thats why i thought i would ask on here since everyone agrees that this site has the best amount of collective knowledge for our cars
um... your trans will be fine...
Dont spin the tires all the time.
FTR I have a stock f23 in my car...
just take it to a good trans. shop and have it complelety rebuilt once and awhile.
ill keep that in mind, def good to know, does anyone happen to know anything about getting the trans and diff gears cryo'd? its supposed to make them stronger and more durable and costs about $.50/gear but i havent heard too much about it from personal testimonials
