I just put the motor/trans back into the car for the second time in as many weeks and I can't get the clutch line to go into the throwout bearing. I push and push, but it just won't go in. Before when I did it, it took a small push, that's it. Now it's impossible. There is nothing impeding the line from going into the throwout bearing. The bleeder valve is pointed toward the battery-ish. Bleeder valve is opened, reservoir cap is removed, so there is no pressure in the line.
If I stick my finger into the throwout bearing, I can feel a piece of plastic in the center that I can push in and out with relative ease. There is a flat piece on the hydraulic line side that I can push in, but it takes a lot of force, and I can only do it with a screwdriver or something similar.
No matter how hard I push, I can only get it in maybe an inch, I've tried loosening up both moving parts by pushing them repeatedly, but to no avail.
Suggestions? If I have to drop my transmission again, I'm going to sell the car to a lake.
