beeln looking for a new FW for my 01 LD9 getrag M86.
Lowest price I've seen is Fidanza for $320.
Anyone know anywhere where I can get a better deal? just wanted to shop around before I make a decision.
Thank you!
Fidanza's dont usually mix well with LD-9's, they have a tendancy to spin the center right off the flywheel.
Talk to Aaron at turbo tech racing, he sells several types, at a good price.
stay the @!#$ away from fidanza, thats all i have to say.
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...

Lets admit it.....it's not Fidanza's fault. It's caused by the MASSIVE torque generated from the LD9.

I've heard better things about the SPEC flywheel...I'll let u know in a week if mine blows on the dyno

John doesnt know LD9 torque. He knows the LN2's absence of torque.

if anybody has heard good things about the ld9 spec flywheel i believe its only because of the fact they havent had many miles on them yet.
spec used to sell fidanza's to us. it was admitted to us by a spec representative. it was proven. it has only been until recently spec ditched fidanza and started making/buying a different one.
ill hold my breathe until i hear of one lasting on an ld9.

Mine did not make 50000 miles. Broke out the center. I am not going to defend them too much but they did send me a replacement OEM wheel and 330 bux. They also promised me a new "redesigned" wheel. Haven't gotten that yet but not sure if I will ever use it. Pretty turned off by lightweight flywheels now. My $.02.

so if fidanza is junk, and spec sells fidanzas, we're basically screwed huh? dam that sux. i really wanted a light weight fw.
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
that is very depresing to hear.... is there anything else out there for the 05 getrag????
spec no longer sells fidanza flywheels.....supposedly. they have something different... supposedly.

ah, well ill have to look into that

This is true, SPEC's flywheels are not made by the same company that manufactures Fidanza...

By just the look of an eye the Fidanza and SPEC look the same, however they are not made at the same place...

its not the material or difference in manufacturing technique that make the piece its simply a poor design.
so if they center's are the same in design i have a hard time believing spec's to be worth a damn.
ive personally seen an aasco or 'unorthodox' or 'stillen' flywheel and the center is much more beefy than a fidanza's. have not seen a spec though so i cannot say with any certainty about it's differences if any.
