okay my car is a manual and when start it up and put i in reverse from neutral it grinds a little
but if i would shift it into 1st and not let off the clutch or any other gear with out letting off the clutch then in reverse it doesnt grind
its late right now but in the morning ill check clutch/trans fluid?
but i dont see how that has anything to do with it becouse it doesnt grind from 1-5 only at first in reverse?
thx for your input
yeah, I usually put it into 4th or 5th and then go into reverse and it doesn't grind.

what year of car is this?
in my cav i can go into reverse going 30mph with out any sound. might be clutch. how old is it?
the reverse gear in isuzus are non -synchro'd, hence the grinding
the getrags are synchro'd, and as a result never grind.
its just a normal thing.

that's the proper procedure. even says so in the owners manual.

+1
The owners manual says to put the car in 1st and then into reverse. There are no syncros for reverse, like the rest. Theres nothing wrong with your car, all isuzu trannies (95-99) do this...
