i have a 97 2.2l auto cavalier at our local salvage yard there is a 98 2.2l cavalier the owner and i have worked a deal it includes
trans and entier lower sub frame
peddles
hoses lines cables...etc
flywheel
pressure plate
basicly everything except the computer he says the old one will work
will it and if so what do i have to do to make it work
also what is easier to do cut the brackets and re-weld or just bolt up the other frame i have allready went to gm and confirmed the other will work but they were unable to help with any additional info
please any suggestions are awesome

The trans mount brackets aren't attached to the subframe, so you'll need to cut and weld new ones on anyway.

The old computer will work, but unless you disable the auto trans codes via HPT you'll throw codes.

Your auto bracket needs to be cut off.

Trace the Yellow ignition wire from the ignition switch and splice into this for the clutch safety start switch. It will mate up with a thick purple one on the manual engine harness

Weld in new tranny mounts. I have no idea even if you can get the old Isuzu one from the dealership, but the front you can get from TTR.

The Clutch master hole is 1.5" with a hole saw. The measurements are here on the forums, but that tid bit is wrong in the original write up.

Everything else pretty straight forwards.
