All wheel drive idea

So i was thinkin, because in my build im aiming for 450 whp, what do you guys and gals think about an all wheel drive cavalier? I heard somewhere that the awd system in the newer chevy envoys are somewhat compatable whit the ecotecs. Is this true that anybody knows about? Has anybody here done this? Please dont hate on my idea, i think it would be pretty sweet to have an all wheel drive cavy. Or what about rear wheel drive? Hmmmm........ Any input?

horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.

the Equinox system is possible... WAY to much work to really consider. BUT then again The bar is going higher and higher.. Just look at the recent north star swap done by 97z..

So long as you werent using it for mud boggin....then i think you would be doing it for the wrong reasons....smack a cav body on a truck frame if you are going to do that, and THAT has been done before.

And AWD cavy would be a very involved mod, one that will take WAY to much time and $$. If you do it, post up lots o pics. I would love to see it, but wouldnt want to do it myself.

what about the powertrain out of a solstice? That might be usable to make a rear wheel drive cavy.

is the search button broken?

sorry but this is brought up way to often.

look at it this way; if it was easy, people would have done it by now.
unless you're an accomplished fabricator, welder, and chassis modifier, don't even think about it.

A guy around my area build a 3800 Supercharged sunbird with AWD.
He used the tranny and AWD system from an old Pontiac 6000 AWD.
