So on the way to work this morning (work at an auto shop) I may have been a little overzealous with shifting out of first into second and i pulled it all the way back and let out the clutch and gave it a stab of gas and all i hear is the rpm shoots up to like 4k and i realize im not in a gear so i figured i missed the shift and didnt really pay any mind to it. So i push in the clutch and pull back to second and i realize there is no resistance i try other gears and finally realize i can move my shifter in a complete circle so im doing about 35 on a major road thats 55 in the left lane of a 2 lane road. After coasting off to the side of the road and a few angry drivers go by i get out and pop the hood. After inspecting the shift cables and linkages everything seems kosher. So im stumped i move freely no grinding noises nothing out of the ordinary except no gears. I end up staying late tonight and ripping the trans which took no more than an hour on the lift and i feel like a shmuck. On the shift linkage there are multiple roll pins the one on the primary shaft had sheered clean off and took some convincing to get out. So all in all If anyone has the same issue start by inspecting the roll pins before your remove the trans.

I had the same thing happen to me. Where did you get the pins from? I have been looking like a mad man and hope the Dealership is open tomorrow. so if you know the part # or what will work let me know ASAP!
Thanks!

GMPartsdirect.com, or see if the dealer can get 'em for you.
Depending on where in the Seattle area you are, I'd check Burien Chev out.
As for the roll pin, I show that you need to use a hammer/punch to remove it.
so I tried that. since it sheered off it wont come out of the primary shaft... This BLOWS!
