okay so i want this swap. but im just curious how much you guys paid. and if you think i can install the clutch/brake pedal, master cylender (basicaly everything but the actual trans its self and the ecu auto program delete via HPT) if i can get a shop to swap my trans as if it was a clutch replacement. cause thats what i was hoping to get away with. $300 for labor i can handle
ill be living at an apartment so theres only so much i can get away with in a parking lot. LOL

You can't get a shop to do it as a "clutch replacement" because there's more to it than just unbolting the auto and bolting in a manual. New mounts need to be welded in, and the old ones cut out. The wiring harness needs to be modified (slightly) for the reverse lights. Holes need to be made in the firewall for the master cylinder and clutch pedal. The old brake pedal can stay, but is kinda wide and should be cut down or replaced with the 5 speed one.

still wanna know how much people payed in total, and how much labor was if a shop did it. my goal is next summer so i wanna start budgeting myself. geesh i kinda feel like i should put this in the newbies forum. lol

theres allot of welding involved.
sinister customs in lathrop charged about a thousand for repairing my rear mount bracket when I ripped it clean off the frame 2 days later.
