4t40e vs.4t60e

Can someone help me on this?What is the difference in these trans.?4t60e has less electronics right?but is it also vacuum actuated?4t60e is out of a friends 96 Grand Am SE 2.4 auto 4 -speed.And can you hook up the elect. B&M ShiftPlus to the 4t60e?

4T60E is electronically controlled (hence the E at the end). I believe the only difference is a higher torque rating than the 4T40E. Should be able to hook the B&M up to it just fine.

nevermind the 4t60e does have a vacuum module where the 4t40e does not
