Anyone ever have this similar problem? I cannot downshift from 3rd to second at all it just grinds and then pops out. Also, when the car isnt totally warmed up it does the same thing from first to second, just grinds and pops out. Id have to rev it up to like 4 grand for it to go into gear.(this happens only sometimes). Anyone have a heads up on what it might be?

sounds like a synchro

Same Thing Happend to me but i have no 2nd gear.........synchro...... used tranny is in the garage with a new spec stage 3 and new tranny mounts

Sounds like the synchros, are shot we sell parts and rebuild transmissions if your interested

oh yea? Would you mind giving my some quotes on parts for the rebuild. So i can see how much its gonna cost as in buying a whole transmission. I know its not gonna be cheap.
