I purchased my spec stage2 clutch today from ultrarev. Do I need a new flywheel or can I just use my old one?
If you're going to reuse your old one you should have it resurfaced. Most machine shops can do this for you, even certain NAPA's have the ability to do it. If it is out of tolerances they can advise you on that.
www.gravanatuning.com Check them out for flywheels if you need one.
i don't really won't to spend that much on a flywheel and someone at chevy told me you can't resurface them. Can I buy a cheap one somewhere?
by the way nice optima battery. If you need any more email me i can get them cheap.
what did it cost to resurface?

Pretty much. It's a bad idea to put a fresh clutch on a used flywheel surface.
i saw a flywheel on the autozone site for like $70 bucks do you think it will work ok? Oh by the way I got 155,ooo miles out of my original clutch and it wasnt the clutch that went it was the slave cylinder.
