I have a 96 2.2 with transmission problems, and i have found a 96 2.4 manual car, would the 2.2 motor be compatible with the 2.4 trans??

nope it wont unless you have lots of duck tape and super glue =) simply said stick with your 2.2 its cheaper and less work to change out. shop around man they go for like $350 $450 in excellent condition
