Quiafe install?

ok so after alot of thinking, im thinking about a Quiafe lsd. if i can find one cheaper then 1400 that is.
but how is install on something like that? does the tranny have to be disesambeled? any details on where to find one?

well considering cost on the unit is JUST under 1400 you wont find one for much under that. Sorry man. Find me sometime and I'll give you some numbers if you like.

what about the cobalt ss tranny? the f22 or whatever the code is.. arent they factory quaife lsd's? it should bolt up to our eco's. are they trannys and mounts and clutch all the same?
wonder if i could order the lsd from gm and install it

From my understanding, and from looking at my Quaiffe product guide, the diff in the Cobalt is a different unit than that for our cars. This could be something as simple as a different gear ratio or something as extreme as a totally different size for the diff.

the whole trans is different , and to big to fit in the j-body


plus 95% of the come with out the lsd

damn.
i dont have the 1400 right now to fork out for one. my engine is in the process if being built. im hoping to have it in for spring break. that lsd would be a nice top off for it, but damn its just too much.

It should work with any 00-05 Getrag Tranny... 2.2, 2.4 and or Ecotec....
