have a 97 cavalier 5 spd 2.4 liter and im lookin for the tranny that will fit it. i was tryin to teach someone how to drive, and from first to second the gears grinded and made it rev high in neutral. now the car only has gears 1,3,and 5 i do not have 2,4, and reverse? what happened to my transmission and is there an easy fix? or do i have to get a used tranny? i was thinking it might be somthing with the syncronizers, but i dont know send me an email to badassavenger12@yahoo.com asap if you can help me out im indesperate need of repair

did ya check your shifter cables ?

you may have broke a shift fork. just get it fixed. it may not be that bad.
