put a new trans, new clutch, new release bearing, presure plate. bled the clutch....the gears wont go in unless i turn off the car and when i turn the car on...put the gear in....i have no clutch. i can drive but when i need to switch gears i have to pump the clutch in order for 2nd gear and so on to pop in. when i come to a stop sign i cant put it back into 1st gear i have to turn the car off in order to do it. i really need help i would appreiate it if some1 could help me out. thankz!
did you bleed the clutch line?

yeah, that is what happened to me! flip it over and it will solve all probs
well im sure i didnt cause it was labels flywheel side and also i bled tha line today and i call car custom and they said drive around then block for like 15mins so i didnt and then more i drove it then better it got.... s0o0o it got fixd and wat i notice that it kinda like chops or somthin like in the beggin of 1st gear,,, i dont kno if its tha clutch or wat....thanxz for the comments guyz ..... how long till i can go to tha track? do u kno howmany quart im soppose to have? thanxz again for the help....
1.9ish qts for a getrag. 2 is fine. Genreally a good idea to know that before you start driving around. Did you have the FW resurfaced or did you get a new FW?
Egad... how do you guys put it in backwards?
I held mine in backwards, and the centre of the clutch (the metal with the springs) was actually touching the flywheel to crank bolts... the clutch wouldn't even touch the flywheel surface.... I can't imagine that applying pressure to that (by putting the cover on) would be a good thing....?

I did put the clutch backward on my Ho and it's not a prettu sight. i have a big groove on the flywheel but it's still working when it's on the right side

well the car is working perfect..but its kinda choppy wen im leaving slow on 1st gear or when im parking.... i don't know its it cause the clutch or what.. i mean it sorta shakes my whole dash and then engine...and i know i don't need motor mounts cause i have new ones...thanks for the help.. no i didn't get a new f/w i just got it check out and they said it was ok.. and it didnt have any grooves or what not... thanxz for the help,.... what do u mean 2 quartz? i called gm and they told me 7 and it was good ,,,,,, but then its kinda started to like overflow and yea,,,, s0o0 i dont know i was just doing what the dealer told me .. then other thing to i didnt look like 2 quarts wen all the fluid fell from my tranz... it was alot.... thanxz for the help guys!
