SO the way way over asked tranny swap Q.

My question is, is it worth it on the 2.2?? To get a 5 speed tranny and bolt it up to the engine.

Should I do the work myself or pay a shop to do it?

Also on the "myself" rout, I think I might need a page on running the cables, and hanging the clutch. Any info would be nice.

But I do know a shop that could do it for me, 1000 bucks though. Can't really remember if he said the tranny was included or not. I guess I'll ask him.


If I do do this however, is there ways of getting a decent pull with the teeny tiny 2.2 w/o a turbo or nitrous system? I might add turbo later next year, but exhaust wont give you major gains. But I'm sure the 2.2 will do with some modification.
