saw while SEARCHING the other day and decided i would get off my tail and try em out. i have heard they are the same size and i have heard that they are slightly longer than stock. well to put rumors to rest..............they are longer but only by roughly .045" (thats what mine measured AFTER gapping to .040") after running the NGK TR6's which are WAY shorter and having misfiring issues i switched to these and the car idles smoother, pulls better, and reacts with my
MSD DIS-II really well. they are copper plugs and are one stage colder than stock i believe. a set of 4 at my local dodge dealer ran me a grand total of ....................(Drum roll please).......................$13.86 after tax!
so for you ecotec guys out there running Nitrous oxide or who are under boost these plugs should be great for you.
2.2 L Ecotec, P&P Head, Stage 3 Comp Cams, Supertech 76 lb Spring kit, Supertech Oversized Valves, Wiseco 8.9:1 CR Pistons, Eagle H-Beam Rods, Home-Built Turbo Kit T3/T4 57 Trim Intercooled, 78 lb/hr Racetronix Hi-Z injectors, Aeromotive FPR, Racetronix f body fuel pump,MEGASQUIRT MS3 + MS3X Finally street tuned on 21 lbs! Now if only I could get it to hook....

I made a HUGE post after being the test dummy for em...

so these plugs would be the best recommend with an ecotec with nitrous?>
Are they also good with the 2.4 under boost?

Is there any problems with them being longer? Its not going to damage anything right? Tighten them down all the way also?

hey phil, what did u gap yours at?
yea you should always tighten them down .035-040 is aboot right, the 2.4 uses much shorter plugs using these with a 2.4 would likely cause damage

Only if you really feel you need to punch a hole in the center of each piston.

Tr6's are the proper design for 2200 and 2.4s.
Eco plugs are TOO LONG (26mm) for a 2200 or 2.4 (18mm) and would very likely hit the pistons if you installed them.

ELIOT. Now.....boosted.
Yes i would only suggest using these plugs for the eco only which measures in at 25.4mm instead of the 2200 or 2.4's 18mm. there would definatly be problems if you installed them on another engine i believe.
