hey i just wanted some of your opions on my near future seatup for my 2000 2200 sunfire 3spd automatic

brace yourselves

hp rebuild kit
connecting rods
head work geared towards turbo apps.
motor mounts and trans mounts
trans cooler
oil cooler
thats my pre turbo build
all that for around $3300 installed im never touching a wrench

next

stage 2 turbo t28bb inter cooled
larger injectors unsure what size yet
fuel pump
fuel pump booster
upgraded bov most likely greddy
boost controller manual
2.5 in dual exhaust using high flow cats and glass packs
complete trans overhaul ( 2600 stall, red alto clutch, lsd, shift kit, 3.23 gears hopefully )

well i love opions what may not fly so on and so forth

installed for right around $5800

i know its a bit much but considering a new car would run around 17-20k i figure i have a deal one more thing what do you think the chances of this setup hitting the 300hp mark?

please pick a larger turbo that uses a T3 flange. You'll have a MUCH easier time getting a manifold that has a T3 flange instead of the T25 flange, and that turbo is too damn small dude. It will operate inefficiently. Go for a T3 Super 60

The only turbo manifold that you can use with that ball bearing T28 is from Hahn Racecraft. There are about 3 turbo manifolds that I can think of right now that would be easier / cheaper to obtain for what you are wanting to do man. If you need any help in turbo / turbo parts selection, or tuning, you can also seek help on my site, see sig.

as far as intercoolers go, i'd go with an intercooler from Johnny Racecar. How I am working out the piping on my setup is buying an ebay polished pipe kit, and a few extra bends from Summit Racing, and cutting / welding everything myself at our shop. You can do that for under $400 as opposed to a grand.

awesome im going to look into that right now let ask you about inline fuel pumps rather then an in tank high flow pump what would you do with that? also know of any hp rebuild kits that are cheaper then $800 or can i use just a basic stock rebuild kit throw in some better rings and connecting rods i would like to run between 10-14psi if possiable ?

http://www.johnnyracecar.com. Click on Products. You are best with one of their 6" intercoolers. I wouldn't waste time with an inline fuel pump, they tend to wear out the stock pump. The best way to go is to get a Walbro 255 lph intank pump for the LT1. the best way to go is from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com. part #F20000169. install kit #27. with a good tune, you can run 14 psi on stock bottom end with the proper fuel mods. but that good tune does not include an FMU or SAFC. You need to go Megasquirt, E-manage, or Hahn's Port Fueler system.
