260WHP and 278lb/ft....and some cool info
Monday, November 14, 2005 7:14 PM
Well finally got the car back on the dyno. Got some interesting numbers and some interesting information. Won't get into that because that doesn't matter really. The numbers are what matters.....

Best power number...260WHP and 278ft/lb of Torque!!! at 12PSI. Knocks a few heads around and SOMEONE off his dang high horse. Peak Torque came at about 4500-4700RPM and HP about 52-5400 although the torque was steady above 250 from 3k to the end. HP was consistant across the board as well.

The most interesting thing though...we saw another 300 number today. On 4 different occasions the car made 300lb/ft of Torque. All while making right about 250WHP. All 4 times the car was running 15PSI and making max torque about 32-3400RPM then dropping off fairly rapidly.

All in all it was a pretty good day but there is definately room for improvement. We have the setup optimized at 12PSI I think but since I want to run higher it's time to look at other aspects of the car.

Any comments and questions are welcome. I'm definately not stopping though so don't even ask that question!

This is finally coming around to where it should be, a few more little adjustments and 300whp is on the way

We're gonna need a trailer soon

you think I'm resting on my ass here? Ok well i am...but i don't plan to all winter. I've got goals to meet and expectations to cover. My personal expectations are more than anyone could ever imagine so other people don't worry me at this point I'm my own worst enemy.

oh and you better come to the dyno day and cookout...OR ELSE!

congrats man. nice #'s. lucky bastard to have hahn right there. lol. maybe i can catch bill if he ever goes on vacation on the west coast.
good to know that your making that power with a stock engine and not breaking anything. makes me sleep better at night and not worrying about anything breaking. they did some good R&D on that kit.

Nice #'s. I'm plannin on bein turbo'd by the end of January. I'm not the only Cav in Germany, but maybe I'll be the only turbo'd Cav in Germany. If I can see #'s like that on mine, I'll be a happy person.

Sweet numbers Hypsy. I can't wait to be putting down numbers just over that when my motor is done, but hey, you've got much more room to go and I can just see you with a 400 hp ecotec in the near future. Best of luck to you man!

the a/f ratios were in the 12s no matter what boost we put it at. took a little fine tuning but its there for good now. its funny....our baseline run was at 14.0:1 but a few minutes later, without doing anything, it was at 13.2:1. this computer is just a big pain in my butt.

oh and FYI...this is with the new stage 3 parts that should be available soon. sorry i forgot to mention that. New FMU disk and 40 lb/hr injectors. Ive got plenty of fuel to go higher...just need to get the motor to a strength level I trust before I go further.
