**Wideband wiring questions**
Monday, November 14, 2005 8:55 AM
Hey guys I just received my plx R-500 today.... I was going to start hooking it up and was wondering something....

I have 6 outputs that will measure 2 speed sensors and 4 analog.....

The analogs are gonna be hooked up to IAT, TPS, Coolant temp, Knock sensor, and Map sensor.

The speed sensors are gonna be rpm and not sure on the second one yet.....

All its doing is monitoring what each sensor is doing and such.....So I was wondering if it matters where on the wire I splice into? ( As close to ecu as possible? or just splice it into the wire near the sensor?

Thanks for the help!

^^ are you usuing your factory o2 bung hole, or are you drilling another one for the wideband?

because Ive read about the wideband O2's on ebay and they said that it replaces your factory O2.. But Ive seen here on the org somone said that its good to use the factory and the one with the widband, in a different hole of course..

Thanks.

when splicing as long as its a clean splice and clean connection it really doesnt matter if your soldering dont over do it either...ran into that problem on the SAFC-2 my tach signal was alil off had to go back make a clean connection and solder...
